Born on August 3, 1945, in Houston, Texas, to Carrol Woodrow and Mildred Lucille Cooper Alford, Bobbie was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her.
Bobbie spent her life devoted to serving others, always seeking ways to brighten the lives of those around her. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or a warm smile, she had an extraordinary gift for making people feel special and loved. She found her greatest joy in bringing smiles to people’s hearts and faces and lived a life filled with love, compassion, and purpose.
Her unwavering faith in her Lord, Jesus Christ, guided her every step. She was a faithful servant, deeply involved in her church community, where she found purpose and fulfillment in serving God’s people. Her spiritual strength, humility, and dedication to her faith were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Bobbie’s love extended to all of God’s creatures, especially her treasured fur-babies, Cali and Boo. Cali and Boo were more than companions—they were precious members of her family, bringing joy, comfort, and unconditional love to her life in a way that only they could. Their presence was a reflection of her nurturing heart and the deep bonds she formed with everyone she loved.
Beyond her faith and service, Bobbie had a zest for life and a deep love for her family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, whether celebrating holidays, enjoying simple everyday moments, or offering her wisdom and support. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend whose love knew no bounds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carrol Woodrow and Mildred Lucille Cooper Alford; her sister, Carolyn Sue Smith; her grandson, Joseph Solomon Alaoui; and her husband, Roy Pennington Stevenson.
Bobbie is survived by her devoted daughter, Cynthia Williams (Vince); her cherished grandchildren, Nicolas Robert, Evan Boyd, and Joshua Caleb Williams, who were the light of her life; and her nephew, Sean Christopher Smith (Melissa), along with their children, Megan, Christopher, and Shannon Smith, whom she loved dearly. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, her church community, and the countless lives she touched.
Bobbie’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue inspiring those fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed but joyfully remembered as a woman who lived her life with purpose and grace, bringing light to the world around her.
