Reverend Robert (Bob) J. Webb

March 12, 1936 - July 8, 2022

Rev. Webb died peacefully in his home in Waynesville, North Carolina surrounded by family on July 8, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father, A.W. Webb, mother, Viola Suzan Webb, brothers, Jack Webb and Elkin Webb, and his son, Robert Elkin Webb. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marilyn Lerand Webb, daughter, Michele Webb Tucker, son-in-law, James Kelly Tucker, step-daughters Kelly Olsen Clark and her husband, Mark Rones, and Julie Olsen Buck and her husband, Jerry Buck, grandchildren, Josh and Ashley Buck, and Will and Mia Clark and his beloved dog, Freckles.

He served our country for eight years as First Lieutenant Military Policeman with the Air National Guard, Nashville, Tennessee.

A second career Methodist Minister, he received a Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta in 1974. He served churches in Conyers, Georgia, Smyrna, Georgia and Norcross, Georgia sharing the gospel through choral and handbell choirs.

He enjoyed many years as a former member of the Waynesville Kiwanis Club. He was an avid golfer and golf fan. He loved his family, serving our Lord, and the Smoky Mountains.

A private family graveside service was held on July 11 at Garrett Hillcrest Cemetery in Waynesville. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
