Canton-Our loving mother and grandmother, Patsy Frady Brown, 77, entered her Heavenly Home with her family at her side. Patsy was born on October 19, 1944, in Haywood County. Pat enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, baking, cooking and willingly taking care of others. She will be remembered most for being a devout Christian, faithful servant and provider for those in need. She enjoyed cooking food for her family and for those who were sick or for those who had lost loved ones or were in need. Pat was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church for over 70 years having given her heart to the Lord Jesus Christ on July 14, 1951, and was a member of the Ladies Class #1 where she was faithful in her giving. She made sure that her tithe was faithfully given and she was very supportive of missions and the Pathway House.
Pat would want her Sunday School class to know how much she loved each of them. Some of the members have gone on to Heaven, but she loved Sharon, Hazel, Ann, Duetta, Bobbie, Justine, and Lela, who would pray for her and would always be there for her and listening when she needed someone to talk to. She enjoyed the cards, visits and phone calls.
Pat was very active in the Allens Creek Baptist Church Widows Group. She enjoyed spending time with the other ladies, whom she loved very much, on a monthly basis where they would eat, play bingo, and fellowship with each other.
Pat graduated from Waynesville Township High School in 1962.
Pat Brown was preceded in death by her husband, JB Brown of 44 years; her father, Samuel Monroe Frady II, and her mother Maggie Curtis Frady Whitmire; Minnie and Wiley Williams of Allens Creek, who helped raise her; her Grandparents Charles and Mary Curtis, and Samuel and Bertha Frady; and her sister-in-law, Wanda Frady.
Pat is survived by her three daughters, Joy Simmons (Scott) of Winston Salem, NC, Kimberly Curry (Michael) of Canton, NC and Pamela Camby (Martin) of Canton, NC; her nine precious grandchildren Nichole Reece (Jason) of Winston Salem, NC, Kyle Reece (Miranda) of Winston Salem, NC, Matthew Curry (Nicole) of Canton, NC, Michaela Curry of Canton, NC, Mason Curry of Canton, NC, Marla Curry of Canton, NC, Sarah Camby of Canton, NC, Samantha Camby of Greenville, NC, and Skylar Camby of Canton, NC; her four great-grandchildren Nicholas Reece of Winston Salem, NC, Emery Reece of Winston Salem, NC, Brystol Baxley of Canton, NC, Marshall Curry of Canton, NC and two more on the way; her two brothers Sam Frady, of Greenville, SC, and Bob Frady (Jennifer) of Whittier, NC, and sister Patricia Deaton of Wilmington, NC; and several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 14, at Allens Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Scotty Patrick and the Reverend Austin Frady officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Curry, Mason Curry, Kyle Reece, Mark Crawford, Austin Frady, Bob Frady, Martin Camby, and Scott Simmons. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday, December 13, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
Due to Covid-19 and several members of the family being immunocompromised, with concern for everyone's safety, MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED at both the funeral home and the church services. The family will be providing masks at each location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in care of Allens Creek Baptist Church at 549 Allens Creek Rd, Waynesville, NC 28786, which was very near and dear to her heart.

The family is grateful for Pastor Scotty and his wife, Ginger, for there never ending love and support for our Mother, regardless of the distance or the time of day or night. Their unwavering faith lifted her spirits during her times of need.
