Inis Rebecca Hicks Boyd

Inis Hicks Boyd, “1928-2015” Inis Hicks Boyd, 86 of Waynesville, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2015 at Brookdale Hawthorne Park in Greenville, SC. She was born in Haywood County on September 3, 1928 to the late Filmore and Marjorie Hicks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Corky Boyd; brothers, Glenn and Reeves Hicks; and a sister, Grace Bishop. Survivors include, daughters, Becky Hagan and her husband Ray, Margie Erskine and her husband Mark; two granddaughters, Shawna and Katelyn Erskine; two sisters, Sarah Hicks and Nina Trantham; and a brother, Frank Hicks. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, June 22, 2015 in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home with the Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 11 AM Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Boyd Cemetery. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Western Carolina Chapter 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
