Charles "Bob" Robert Francis

Charles "Bob" Robert Francis, age 81, of Waynesville, North Carolina passed away at home on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Bob was born in Haywood County on June 4, 1942, to the late Grover and Ollie Chambers Francis. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, anything outdoors, but most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family. Bob honorably served his country in the US Army.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother Billy Roger Francis; and brother-in-law, Don Ledbetter.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Arrington Francis; son, Ronny Francis (Missy); granddaughter, Mary Abigail Francis and her mom, Melody Francis-Spomer; sister-in-law, Phyllis Ledbetter; step-grandchildren, Austin and Jordan Goff; brother, James S. Francis (Joyce); sister-in-law, Jennifer Francis; special niece, Becky Francis Heil; and several nieces and a nephew.

At Bob's request no services are planned.

Private burial will be at Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
