Catherine Phillips

Catherine "Kitty" Jones Phillips, age 95, of Waynesville, NC passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Born June 10, 1927 in Atlanta, GA to the late Robert and Mable Parrish Jones.

Catherine retired from the CDC in Atlanta, GA following many years of service and moved to Lake Junaluska with her husband in the 80's. Catherine and her husband enjoyed volunteering and highly valued the people and the community of Haywood County.

In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Phillips.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Bobby (Donna) Phillips of Rock Hill, SC, Jo Ann Phillips of Waynesville, NC, and Cathy Phillips of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 14, 2022 in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 10:30 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Projects, 2177 Asheville Rd., Waynesville, NC 28786.
