Rupert W. Eder, 83, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania finished his journey here on earth at 9:12 AM, Friday, April 19, 2024. He was born May 12, 1940 in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Paul Eder and Barbara Schlittenbauer Eder. Rupert was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church in Waynesburg, PA. He graduated from WVU with both his bachelor and masters degrees in social work. Rupert was the administrator of Children and Youth Services for the County of Greene for 35 years retiring in 2005. He supported his children and grandchildren in everything they did and was their biggest fan. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews as well. On earth he was guiding us with all of his prayers and now he will be guiding us as our guardian angel. His Wife: Patricia J. Eder, whom he married June 26, 1965 died on May 5, 2021. Surviving are 1 Daughter: Lori Eder-Crawford and husband William of Avon, Indiana, 1 Son: Jeffrey Eder of Waynesburg, PA, 3 Grandchildren: Channing Eder-Crawford, Kristin Nichols and husband Justin, Britanee Eder, 1 Great-Granddaughter: Aspen Nichols and 1 Sister: Betsy Polce of Maryland. Deceased are 1 Daughter-in-Law: Michele Eder, 1 Sister-Margaret Booth and 2 Brothers: Paul A. Eder and Herbert J. Eder. There will be visitation from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2024 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St. Waynesburg, PA 15370, Shane M. Ayers-Director, where a Prayer Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 26, 2024, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church in Waynesburg, PA with Father Francis Frazer as celebrant.
