Jeanne Yeago Richards

Jeanne Y. Richards, 77, of Winchester, VA went home to her Lord on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA. She was the daughter of the late D. Moody and Geneva (Moyer) Yeago of Staunton, VA.

Jeanne grew up in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Shenandoah Music Conservatory of Winchester, VA. She was a retired teacher in Fredrick County school system. Jeanne’s love of music allowed her to serve several churches as choir director and piano accompanist.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ellen L. Edwards of Waynesboro, VA. Survivors include her brother, James Yeago and wife, Jean of Bristol, FL; brother-in-law, Douglas Edwards of Waynesboro, VA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Lay Minister Harold Baldwin officiating. A private interment will follow at Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton, VA.

Active pallbearers will be Steven Edwards, Philip Edwards, Douglas Edwards, Edward Tutwiler, Gene Walker, Lew Blessing, Marvin Dollins, and Rodger Daniels.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the funeral home.
