Daniel Eugene Cash, Sr.

Daniel Eugene Cash, Sr., 55, of Fishersville, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Cash was born on October 29, 1957 in Staunton, VA and was the son of Wallace and the late Marlyn Allen Cash. He worked in maintenance for Wal-Mart in Waynesboro. In his spare time, he enjoyed putting together model cars, loved Sci-Fi movies, Star Trek, outer space, and paranormal activity. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many who will greatly miss him.

Mr. Cash is survived by his wife of 28 years, Opal Marie Cash. They were married on November 19, 1983.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Cash is survived by two sons, Daniel Eugene Cash, Jr., and wife Anna Mae of Bath County, VA and Carl Owen Cash of Fishersville; a daughter, Bonnie Mathews and husband Jason of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Jacob Cash, Alea Cash, and Cameron Mathews; his aunt, Shirleen Howchin; and his mother-in-law, Alene Gentry.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Claude Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The Cash family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers for the service will be Carl Cash, James Gayhart, and Richard Fox.
