Betsy Ellen Henderson

She was born November 7, 1951, the daughter of the late Vadus Monroe and Hilda Marie (Holbert) Hale.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the Human Resource Department of the University of Virginia Medical Center and was a member of Rodes United Methodist Church, Afton.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James “Frankie” Henderson; daughters, Adrienne Harvey and husband Carroll, Mitzi Henderson; six grandchildren, Colton Harvey, Chaz Harvey, Max Adams, Caleb Adams, Harley Kennedy and Bailey Kennedy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St. Waynesboro, Va.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Rodes United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott A. Robertson-Gouge officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Carroll Harvey, Colton Harvey, Chaz Harvey, Max Adams, Caleb Adams and Alan Adams.

The Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes has been entrusted with arrangements.
