Cory was known for her exceptional green thumb, cultivating the most beautiful flower garden, a testament to her love for flowers. Her creativity shone through in her many craft projects, bringing joy and beauty to those around her. An outstanding cook, Cory was known for her famous potato and macaroni salad, her mom's stuffed cabbage recipe, and her many delicious desserts.
In her leisure time, Cory enjoyed the thrill of visiting casinos and playing poker slots, a pastime that brought her much enjoyment. Above all, Cory cherished her family deeply, especially her beloved grandson, little Tommy.
To cherish her memory, Cory leaves behind her devoted husband Tom, two children Scott Dunn and Rebecca Kania, and her treasured grandson little Tommy Kania. She is also survived by her siblings Kim and Richard Wilson and many very special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Cory is preceded in death by four siblings, Karen Hyvari, David Wilson, Ronnie Wilson, and Johnny Wilson.
Memorial donations in Cory's honor are suggested to the Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan, an organization near and dear to her heart.
Cory's warmth, creativity, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the beauty of the flowers she so lovingly tended.
A celebration of life for Cory will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Elizabeth Park, 4250 Elizabeth Dr, Trenton, MI 48183.
