Carol "Carl" Kopacki

Carl passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family on April 2, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife Aida and his children Steven, Connie, Karen, Lori, Marcia Clarosa and Joncarlos. Carl was predeceased by his brother Gilbert (Mary) and is survived by his brother Ron (Shirley). Carl is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he worked as an M.P. and in the Army band. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, church and country.

Friends may visit Carl's family at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Ave. in Wayne, Michigan 48184 on Friday April 8, 2011 from 4 pm until 9 pm. There will be a Rosary prayed in his memory at 7 pm led by Fr. David Burghard of St. Mary Catholic Church. The funeral home is located on Michigan Ave. east of Wayne Road.

Carl's funeral Mass will be at 11 am on Saturday April 9, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 34530 Michigan Ave. in Wayne, Michigan 48184 and celebrated by Fr. Jack Baker. He will lie in state at the church from 10:30 am until his Mass. The church is located across the street from the funeral home.

Carl's family asks that memorials be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
