Robert Royce Gardner, age 86 of Wayland, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Barbara Gardner; father-in-law, Urban Feldpausch; brother, Mike; and grandson, Jason. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Helen; children Scott (Malaythong) Grinage, Sue (Brent) Winger, Bob (Sandy) Gardner, Denise (Bill) Brisbin; many grandchildren; sister, Marcia Phelps; brother-in-law, David (Joan) Feldpausch; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He proudly served in the United States Army. Bob was a hardworking man and jack-of-all-trades; he was a gunsmith, machinist, and farmer. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who had a strong belief that family should take care of family. He always enjoyed helping others. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, and serving at church.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 159 131st Ave., Wayland. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the SS Cyril and Methodius Hall from 3-6 p.m. (Please enter using west door).
