Margie Hines

Margie Calkins-Hines, age 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 while surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Max D. Calkins; second husband, Richard M. Hines; grandsons Brian Greenwalt and Kevin Calkins; and son-in-law, James “Jim” Jeffers. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Barbara Jeffers, Daniel (Barb) Calkins, Teresa (Tim) Permoda, Shirley (Jim) Graham; grandchildren Kristy Calkins, Keith (Kelli) Calkins, Jennifer (Jeff) Hudson, Joshua (Jessica) Permoda, Jordan (MaryBeth) Permoda, Hailey (Patrick) Kane, Austin (Kelsey) Graham; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Joy (Larry) DeBruyne and brother-in-law, Phil (Sonya) Hines; and many extended family and friends.

Margie loved residing at her beloved farm near Hopkinsburg, MI for over 65 years. She had a contagious laugh, love for travel, zest for life, and had a huge love for her family, friends, and especially God.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Martin Reformed Church, 1073 W. Allegan St., Martin, MI 49070 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Margie will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery. In memory of Margie and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wings Home of Allegan.
