Dennis John Belka, age 81, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, November 26, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Birney Jr. and Arlene Belka; brother, Wayne Belka Sr.; and nephew, Steve Belka. He will be deeply missed by his siblings Allen Belka, Judie (Don Sr.) Chappell, Dawn (Dennis) Flannery; sister-in-law, Kathy Belka; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Dennis was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also devoted to his faith and served at his home church, St. Therese, as an usher. He worked at Rockwell in Allegan for over 17 years. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, eventually working as a carpenter full-time with his father. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping and traveling up north. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Wayland Chapel), 312 N. Main St., Wayland, MI 49348, with Prayers of the Rosary beginning at 4:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held 12 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St., Wayland, MI 49348, with visitation from 11-11:45 a.m. prior the service. In memory of Dennis and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church.
