Doris A. Reid

Augusta—Doris A. Reid, 84, died peacefully at Glenridge Nursing Facility on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was born in Winslow on September 12, 1928 a daughter of Joseph and Martha (Violet) Bolduc.

Educated in local schools, Doris was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and a communicant of St. Francis Catholic Church. She worked locally as a waitress and for 19 years as a stitcher for the C.F. Hathaway Company.

Doris was pre-deceased along with her parents by five brothers, Armand, Lucien, Richard, Hector and Norris and a sister Gloria.

She is survived by 2 sisters Lillian Lovett of York, ME and Pat Knight and her husband James of Waterville; a brother Gerard Bolduc and his wife Deloris of Surfside Beach, SC; 2 daughters Debbie DeRocher and her husband Mark of China Village, Donna Libby and her husband Stephen of Oakland; 1 son Douglas Reid and his wife Jane of Skowhegan; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

At Doris’s request a graveside service will be held in the spring at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory should be made to the Maine Children’s Home for Little Wanderers, 93 Silver Street, Waterville, ME 04901.
