William was born on May 8, 1934 in the Bronx, NY to the late William J. and Elizabeth (Doyle) Horgan.
He served his country in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. He worked for 32 years as an Estimator at Grossman Steel & Aluminum.
His pride and joy was his family, using any opportunity to talk(brag) about his kids and grandkids, proudly wearing all the swag from every University they attended. His trips to Spring training to see The Mets with Roseann were always something he looked forward too. We’re hoping he’ll now have some pull up there and get us a World’s Series win next season.
William is survived by his beloved wife Roseann Navatta Horgan, loving children, Dawn Horgan, Brian Horgan (Claudia), Dr. William E. Horgan (Christine), Diane Blanton (Garrett) and Patricia Butcher (Martin), caring sister, Margaret Horgan and his adoring grandchildren, Colin, Madeleina, Thomas, Christian, Evan, Emma, Adam, Joseph, Lucas, Maria, Andrew and Caitlin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 4p to 7p at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 9th at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville, NY. Burial will follow at Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in his name be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org .
