Timothy J. Curtin

Timothy James Curtin 72 of Washingtonville, NY passed away on May 13, 2017. Timothy was born to Timothy and Mary Curtin on March 6, 1945 in the Bronx, NY. Tim graduated from St. Cecilia High School and was drafted into the US Army where he served in Germany and received a National Defense Service Medal. After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University, he began his career with IBM that spanned over 25 years. On June 2, 1973, he married Michele Gray and together they had two beloved children Timothy and Megan.

Timothy dedicated his life to his wife, children and family. He had a passion for life and enjoyed traveling, and loved the beach. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and giving nature. He could light up any room with his loving spirit. Tim is preceded in death by his brother Michael Curtin. Tim is survived by his sisters Mary Curtin, Sabina Kelemen, Noreen Geelan and brother Joseph Curtin.

His son Timothy and daughter-in-law Lori Ann gave Tim the proud title of Pop-Pop when they welcomed his first grandchild Liam Michael in 2015.

Visitation will be on Tuesday May 16, 7-9pm and on Wednesday May 17, 2-4pm & 7-9pm at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, N.Y. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday May 18, and 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Avenue, Washingtonville. Interment to follow at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY.
