Michael "Rocky" Stevens

Michael “Rocky” Stevens, 61, passed away suddenly at home on May 6th, 2020. He was a lifelong resident of Washingtonville, NY. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Margaret Stevens, his brothers Joey, Paul, and Jimmy, and his sister Betty. He is survived by his loving and adoring wife Maggie Stevens, his children Christine, Kelly (William), Megan (John), and David, and his grandchildren Harper, Clare, and Kaden. He is also survived by his brother Tony (Tricia), his sister Pam, his sisters-in-law Barbara, Maryanne and Mary, and his brother-in-law Mike. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews. Mike’s passion was sports. He was a basketball coach at St. Mary’s CYO for over 40 years. He also coached Washingtonville Little League and Youth Football. He loved working with kids, teaching them the love of the game. He spent a great deal of time coaching his New York Giants and Yankees from his couch or the stands. He was also an avid golfer. Mike was a long-time employee of the Washingtonville School District, where he had many friends and will be missed. Mike was one of the kindest people you would ever want to know and was always willing to help anyone in need, never looking for recognition. Mike will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
