"Roz"

Passed away peacefully after a short illness on November 10, 2010. Roz was a dedicated registered nurse who graduated in 1947 from Elizabeth General Hospital in NJ. She was a devout Christian and member of Christ Church, in Washington, DC, choral singer and wonderful sister, mother and grandmother. Roz is remembered for her compassion, gentle words of wisdom, and her grace in caring for her patients even in the face of death. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include brother James Light (Marilyn Light); son Arthur J. Williams (Dianne Lewis), Washington, DC; daughters Karen L. Williams, Bethesda, MD, Kathy Carrer (Gary Carrer), King George, VA and Kim Williams, Sarasota, FL; grandchildren John and Joseph Connell, Mia Williams and Michael Williams; great-granddaughters Emily and Lacey Connell. Plus many beloved relatives and friends.

Viewing on Thursday, November 18, 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services Friday, November 19 at 11 a.m. Both at Joseph Gawler's Sons, 5130 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20016. Interment immediately following the services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
