Robert Warren Lowe

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 21, 2015 in Kensington, MD. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Shirley Akers Lowe. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Maureen (Terry) Lake, Poolesville, MD; his son Robert Lowe, Jr., Gunnison County; his step-children, Jeri (Lance) Ford, N. Bethesda, Floyd (Mary), Sheahan, Bethesda and S.P. (Suzanne) Sheahan, Queenstown, MD and his grandchildren, Matt and Jenny Sage, Julia Lowe, Christopher, Cameron and Connor Ford, Patrick and Casey Sheahan, Thomas, David and Andrew Sheahan. He is also survived by his sisters Dorothy Herwig and Carolyn Leighton. He was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur, Richard (U.S.M.C.), Eugene and his parents Arthur and Helen Lowe.

Bob was a retired real estate developer/contractor with custom built homes in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac, Bethany Beach, DE and Boca Raton, FL. He was born in Washington, DC; a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and served in the U.S. military during the Korean War. He was a member of Congressional and Columbia County Clubs.

A Service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3 Chevy Chase Circle, Chevy Chase, Md. 20815 on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment will be private at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Hospice, 11800 Tech Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904.
