On April 20, 2012, Helen Kuldell Barbee, 3rd generation resident of Bethesda, MD, founding partner and later president of Barbee Curran Elevator Company, Rockville, MD; mother to Helen Koehler of Boynton Beach, FL, Paul Barbee Jr., of New Bethlehem, PA, Michael Barbee of Rockville, MD, Martha Slagle of Silver Spring, MD, Suzanne Mong of Boynton Beach, FL, and Charles Barbee of Clermont, FL; grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren succumbed to a life of pulmonary issues. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul F. Barbee; her parents, Oscar and Marie Kuldell; and her sisters, Anne Barker of Washington, DC and Teedee Johnson of Boynton Beach, FL. Relatives and friends are invited to call at JOSEPH GAWLERS SONS, INC., 5130 Wisconsin Ave., NW (Corner of Harrison St.), Washington, DC on Friday, April 27 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 11 a.m. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
