Robert W. Eckert Sr., 80, passed away at home on January 26, 2024.
Born in Elmont, New York, he was a son of the late Robert F. and Gertrude (Ustick) Eckert.
He was the loving father of Erika D. Tillier and her husband Kevin, and Ashley E. Eckert and her husband Rolando and the late Robert W. Eckert, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Abri R. Vera, Austin R. Tillier, Max A. Tillier and Jack M. Tillier; brother of Eleanor Kern and Roberta Baker. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with his funeral service on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Burial with military honors will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
