Anna J. Costabile, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 1, 2024 at Pacifica Senior Living Victoria Court in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard K. Costabile. They were married for sixty-one years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Vincenza (Consola) Mega. Anna is survived by her son Richard A. Costabile and his wife Cathy of Coventry, and her daughter AnnMarie Devine and her husband Stephen of Cranston, and three wonderful grandchildren that she cherished with all her heart, Jeffrey Costabile, Katelyn Devine-Comiskey and her husband Brendan, and Bryan Devine and his wife Allie. She leaves many nieces and nephews. Anna was the sister of the late Concetta “Tina” DelVecchio, Amedeo Mega and Joseph Mega.
Anna worked many years at Coro’s Jewelry, Providence Country Day School, and as a bookkeeper for her brother Joe at Crugnale’s Bakery. Anna’s greatest love was to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren. Anna and her husband Richard would attend countless school and sports activities. Anna also enjoyed cooking her famous Italian meals and award-winning apple pies. Anna loved music and dancing with loved ones, especially at family gatherings.
Her Funeral is Monday October 7, 2024 at 8:45 am at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 845 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visitation will be Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 pm.
