Bob graduated from Warren Mott High School in 1981, and then he when on to attend Macomb Community College obtaining his Associates Degree in 1983. He then entered into the Macomb County Police Academy where he graduated and then became a City of Warren Police Officer where he worked for 27+ years and was involved with many departments. One of his favorites being the Police Athletic League (PAL). It not only brought a lot of joy to him, but sense of pride. Especially after coaching kids when they were younger and then seeing them years later all grown up. Plus still being recognized and called Coach Scott always brought a smile to his face. After retirement from the Police Department Bob couldn’t sit still. He began working for the city in the Sanitation Department and his work ethic didn’t go unnoticed. He was promoted in 2012 to the Property Maintenance Division where he proudly worked until his passing.
In September of 1995 Bob married the love of his life, Lynn. They resided in Warren until their dream became reality. They moved to their dream home on Lake St. Clair in 2017. Bob didn’t mind the drive to work since he always had different rides to choose from. Whether it was the motorcycle on those bright sunny days, or the convertible, or the mini cooper, that ride was his down time to relax and think of the next adventure that Lynn and he would be taking on their next vacation. One of their favorite vacations was traveling the coast of the Mississippi for 10 days in the classic car.
When Bobby wasn’t working or traveling you could find him spending time with his family and friends either on the boat relaxing, catching fish, or out cruising with his classic car friends. He was one of the founding members of the Warthogs Chapter becoming a member in June of 2009. He enjoyed the comradery and the friendships that he developed with this group of people. Everyone who knew him would say that he was the real deal. He would give you the shirt off his back to help you, he was kind, caring and had one of the best sense of humors. He will certainly be missed by his family, friends, and the people of the city that cared so deeply for.
He was the beloved husband of Lynn. Loving son of Anna and the late Robert Sr. Dear brother of Derick (Tiffany), and the late Steve Scott. Devoted uncle of Jessica, Alexis, Matthew, Elise, Thelia, and his fur babies; Onyx and Kai. He was also survived by many loving family member and friends.
