Mario Rossi age 80, of Warren died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at his home. He was born June 25, 1929 in Italy the son of the late Felice and the late Teresa (nee: Fiacco) Rossi. Mario was a Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 44 years as a Laborer at the Dearborn plant. Mario loved to attend to his yard. His family said he without a doubt had a green thumb. Another thing he was very proud of was being an accomplished squirrel relocation expert. He had a trap in his yard which he made himself. After the squirrels would get caught he would release them to a different location. Another hobby he enjoyed was making wine. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan (nee: Bojarski); children, Dino (Cindy), Jim, Paul (Lisa), and Angela (Scott) Salisbury; grandchildren, Vince, Mark, Mario, Teresa, Nick, Mario, and Alexis; great grandson, Dominic; siblings, Elena Balsetti, Geremio (Mary) Rossi, and Rita Fiori. He is predeceased by his twin sons, Mario and Martin; and siblings, Loretta and Joe. Visitation will be held Saturday 5-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). He will lie in state Monday 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
