Joseph L Diovardi

He was born on January 24, 1943 in Detroit, MI to his parents Carl and Dorothy Diovardi.

Joe was an honest and genuine man, he was hardworking, loyal and together with his beloved wife of 60 years, Elva, they created a loving home for their family to flourish because to him, family was always the most important thing to him. He was a big car enthusiast, loved race cars and especially the smooth sound of a well-tuned ‘57 Chevy. He enjoyed all sports but he truly loved his Detroit Lions, especially Barry Sanders. He was also known to be funny and light hearted and always enjoyed a good joke or to share a good laugh. His family will cherish the fond memories of his wonderful smile with a fresh Pepsi and a good plate of spaghetti.

He is survived by his loving wife Elva, children David (Kristen) Diovardi, Lisa (Scott) Palmer, Tricia (Michael) Lamb and Joann Diovardi, grandchildren Ashley, Anthony, Lindsey, Evan (Shelby), Joey, Jessica (Aaron) and his great granddaughter Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Nick.

Friends may visit the A H Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI 48088 on Wednesday December 13, from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a funeral service taking place at 6:00 P.M., Minister Shaun Laurain officiating.

Joseph will be laid to rest at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, 38425 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038 on Thursday December 14, 2023 at 12:45 P.M.
