Frances was incredibly dedicated to her faith and with her husband Gordon, they became one of the founding families of Hope Lutheran before moving to King of Kings Lutheran Church. Everyone knew that Frances loved to cook, was an incredible cook, and would always be gracious host and cook for anyone. She started her cooking career at St. Bartholomew cooking for the nuns and the priests and moved on to working at nursing homes. At home, you could always find her in the kitchen. At every family gathering, she would insist on feeding everyone every 2 hours. Above all else, family was most important. She loved spending time with them, even combining her passion for cooking by baking with the grandchildren. Her children remember countless fall days spent canning peaches, jams, beets, sauces, and more with Frances. Always by her husband’s side, she would go on road trips with him and her sisters to see their family.
Frances is the beloved wife of almost 69 years to Gordon Taylor. She is the loving mother of Gordie (Yvonne) Taylor, Kathy (Scott) Williams, and Mark (Jenny) Taylor.
