Daniel Joseph Rogers

Daniel Joseph Rogers, age 102 of Warren, died at Garden City Hospital on Sunday, September 13, 2020. He was born August 12, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Joseph and the late Agatha (nee: Schornack) Rogers.

Daniel served as a Detroit Police Officer for 25 years until his retirement in 1967,...just prior to the Detroit Riots. He was known as a great story teller with a sharp mind, even at 102 years-old. Daniel and his stories will be missed immensely, and he will be loved eternally by all who knew him.

Daniel was the beloved husband of the late Margaret. Loving father of Daniel (Mary) Rogers, Kenneth (MaryAnn) Rogers, and the late James (Jackie) Rogers. He was the adored grandfather of Brian and Karen, and dearest great-grandfather of 6. Special thanks to John, Sherry, and Brenda.

Visitation for Daniel will be held Wednesday, September 23rd from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. He will lie in state on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church - St. Clement Site, 25252 Van Dyke Avenue in Center Line, Michigan.
