Raised in Warren, Craig graduated from Warren Mott High School with the Class of 1975 and went on to build a dedicated career in the auto industry. A skilled mold and model maker, Craig worked at Flex-N-Gate Forming Technologies, where he earned the respect of his colleagues before retiring just six months ago.
Craig’s passion for cars and motorcycles was matched only by his love for the stars. An avid stargazer with a deep knowledge of astronomy, he spent countless nights exploring the sky through his telescope, always drawn to his favorite constellation, Orion.
In 1991, Craig married his wife, Elizabeth. Together, they built a home filled with the joys of raising their three children. Craig was a devoted father—his children meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
With a green thumb and a love for gardening, Craig took pride in his backyard harvests, especially his tomatoes and radishes. His kindness, generosity, and quiet sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. He was a master of the dad joke, a fan of the clever one-liner, and never missed an opportunity for a lighthearted prank. Craig will be remembered for his warmth, his wit, and his deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the laughter he leaves behind.
Craig was the dear husband of Elizabeth. Loving father of Elizabeth Anne Preston, David Patrick Preston, and Daniel Edward Preston. Cherished brother of Frederick (Sharon) Preston, James (Debra) Preston, and the late Jodi Preston. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial for Craig will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
