Beverly Jean Waller

Beverly Jean Waller, age 87 of Warren, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at The Garden Adult Foster Care Facility in Clinton Township, Michigan. She was born October 13, 1929 in Detroit, daughter of the late James and the late Mary Margaret (nee: Shea) Kidder.A mother raising 9 children, holding down a job as a professional accountant, and juggling all the balls that go into being a consummate homemaker,…Beverly surely must have had some kind of Guardian Angel paving the way. Yet she made it all look so easy and handled it all like a champ. She thrived on being busy, and there was never any moss that was going to grow under her feet, for sure. And even though all the above sounds like enough to fill a person's plate, it wasn't for Bev. Aside from the work and family responsibilities that filled a good portion of her plate, she always managed to leave a little room for her favorite pastimes,…and for Bev it was mostly sports. Known for having quite the competitive spirit, it was never more evident than when she was engaged in three of her favorites,…golf, bowling and baseball. Whether participating in it or enjoying it on the television, Bev's exuberance in all things sports related told the tale of what kept her motor revvin'!Yet Bev's idea of having fun wasn't merely centered around the sporting venues, but also included the hilarity and camaraderie that always ensued a rousing game of cards. Any time she could gather some family or friends around the card table, break open a deck of cards, and begin the process of takin' somebody to the cleaners,…now that was havin' fun! Did we already say that she was competitive?Then there was her heritage of which she held in the highest esteem. Born with Irish blood pursing through her veins, she was most definitely cut from the Celtic cloth. Of course, this obviously meant that her favorite day of the year was St. Patty's Day, a day in which she threw all caution to the wind and partied till the cows came home. And then there was her love for Irish music, the lilts that made her heart melt with delight.But of all that melted her heart the most, nothing could hold a candle to the joys and pleasures of her precious family and friends. They say the greatest things in life have nothing to do with things,…rather people,…and this was certainly the case with Beverly. She loved to socialize and be surrounded by those who made her happy, and those treasured loved ones in her life "Got'R'Done!" A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Beverly was blessed to have a large family to dote on and adore, something that came very easy for this woman with a kind heart and giving spirit. And not merely with her family and friends, Beverly had the heart of a saint and served others around her without question or expectation. As the old adage states; she was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back if the need arose. Beverly leaves a legacy of love for all to embrace with each reflection shared, and she'll be missed immensely.Beverly was the beloved wife of the late Alan Eugene Waller. Dear mother of Richard Waller, Keith (Kim) Waller, Shirley Waller, Alan Waller Jr. (Lori), Barb (Frank) Wrublesky, Gail Waller, Carol Waller- Likins (Joe), Nancy Waller-Dance, and James Waller (Anna Marie). She was also the loving grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 10. Visitation for Beverly will be held Sunday, September 10th from 3-9 pm, with a 7 pm Scripture Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road). She will lie in state on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 9:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren.
