Barbara was born and raised in Detroit, where she graduated from South Eastern High School. She worked as an IT technician at the National Bank of Detroit (formerly Chase Bank) for 40 years. Barbara was married to the love of her life, William for 63 wonderful years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, grandmother, and Christian. Strong in her faith, Barbara was a lifetime member of Parkside East Lawn Missionary Church. Barbara loved spending time with her family, going on vacations with William and her friends. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, golf, walking on the beach, cooking-especially her famous chocolate chip cookies, and taking the time to talk to anyone around her. Barbara loved everyone, and touched the hearts of every person she came in contact with. She had the kindest soul, a great spirit, and always had a smile on her face. Her illness on Earth has now ended, and she has gone to join the other angels in Heaven. Barbara will be missed immensely and loved eternally by all of those whose lives she has touched, especially her family.
Barbara was the beloved wife of William. Loving mother of Patricia (Michael) Fisher and Craig Riley. Cherished grandmother of Kristina (Alberto) Todaro, Carolyn (Kevin ) Hatzenbuhler, and Michael (Scott Wodowski, Jr.) Fisher. Adored great-grandmother of Alexia and Lauren Todaro and Nathan Hatzenbuhler. Dear sister of the late Donna Morin.
Visitation for Barbara to be held on Monday, November 1st from 3-8pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093. Funeral Service Tuesday at 11am at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Barbara's name are appreciated to either the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or to the Michigan Humane Society, 30300 Telegraph Road, Suite 220, Bingham Farms, MI 48025.
