Sharlene Kalani Kegan passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the age of 68 with family at her side. Born in Hawaii and raised in Hawaii and Rhode Island, she had joined the Air Force shortly after high school. As a civilian, she crunched budget numbers on green bars and in the many DOD budget/finance systems until she retired. She knew it all and was the person that everybody in the office would go to, however she was also known for being a no-nonsense analyst.
A long-time aficionado of bingo, it is rumored that she was born with a bingo dobber in each hand. Sharlene loved her Zumba classes for as long as her body allowed her. She was also known to have thrown a thing or two at the TV when her football team wasn't doing so well.
In her leisure she read many books and loved going to the movies. She was also caught red-handed many times spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Chris, by her children Eddie (Yadi) and Autumn (Ronnie), by her grandchildren Cody, Ethan, and Leila (also known as the munchkins or the brats), by her siblings Rose (Eugene✝️), Gary (Judy), Gene (Lisa), and George (Bonnie), by her nieces Stephani, Courtni, and Kerri, and by her nephews Jarrod, Garrett, and Earl.
