Richard was born to the late Benjamin Paramore Darbie and Clara V. Darbie in Washington D.C. and was raised in Piscataway, Maryland. He went on to settle and make his home in Waldorf, Maryland, where he maintained a large garden, sharing all his vegetables. He had a love for softball, golf, bowling, crabbing and fishing and enjoyed sharing these activities with friends and family. He was known to be a good and kind person.
Richard is survived by his wife Marilyn, brother Michael (Barbara), nephew's Tim and Pat and numerous other family members. He was pre deceased by his nephew Ben. A visitation will be held at Huntt Funeral Home on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 10:00a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00a.m., at Huntt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
