Craig Robert Zoscak

Craig was born on October 20, 1961, to Robert M. Zoscak and Theresa B. Zoscak in Washington, DC. He graduated from Thomas Stone High School in 1979.

Craig had a long career as a duct work technician until a fall from a ladder in 2006 which led to several back surgeries and put an end to his career. Until that point, Craig was known to be hard working and never missed a day of work.

Craig will be remembered for many things, but above all, he will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality. He was a “loud” man with a hearty life and always quick to tell a joke or some silly story or other, as he loved nothing more than to make those around him laugh as well.

Throughout his life, Craig was surrounded by love and was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara K. (Cusato) Zoscak, and their children: Marie L. (Zoscak) Newman and Anthony Zoscak. Craig found his passion for dogs later in life and his “pack” brought him endless joy. He leaves behind Bailey, Zoey, Buddy, Zeus, and Rizzo, who will miss their “daddy” immensely.

In addition to his immediate family, Craig is survived by his brother, Curtis M. Zoscak, and his sister, Corinne L. Zoscak. He also is survived by granddaughter, Leilani Rose Zoscak, and his brand-new granddaughter Parker L. Newman, who he never had the chance to meet. Craig is preceded in death by parents, Robert M. Zoscak and Theresa B. Zoscak, as well as grandparents Michal Zoscak and Anna Zoscak and Michael Hvasta and Theresa Hvasta.

A viewing from 2-5pm will be held at Hunt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Rd, Waldorf, MD on Wednesday 5/15.
