William "Bill" Smith Clements of Waco Texas, passed away Tuesday morning the 28th of September 2021 of viral pneumonia, at the age of 76. He was preceded by his mother Marjorie (Smith) Clements, his father William Brewington Clements, and brother Robert Clements. He is survived by his brothers Heber "Hank" Clements and David Clements, his wife of 9.5 years Judy (Higgason) Clements, ex-wife Sharon (Allred) and mother of his children William Allred Clements, Cerise (Clements) Casbeer, Michael Gilbert Clements, Mark Heber Clements, Bryan Tyler Clements, and nine grandchildren.
As a patriot, he served in the U.S. Air Force (SGT) during Vietnam and then the U.S. Army Reserves (CPT) for over 40 years.
As an academic, he was an alumnus of Utah Valley (UVSC) with an Associates and Utah State with a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Teacher Education.
As a professional, he worked as an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer for over 30 years. He was a teacher at a local high school for 2 years.
As a carpenter, he loved to design and build things out of wood. In retirement, he worked as a real estate investor and self-owned businessman for over 10 years.
As a servant in the community, he helped out anyone in need, he offered his time and talents to neighbors, friends, and family. He served in leadership roles, volunteered as a missionary, and in community service projects with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He also participated and served in the Boy Scouts of America, veterans, and 2nd chance programs.
As an entertainer, he loved to have everyone's attention with his big Cheshire grin and loud booming voice.
As a hobbyist, he enjoyed gardening, genealogy, canning, stamp collecting, and drafting.
William was a diligent son, brave older brother, caring husband, reliable father, helpful neighbor, generous friend, eager entertainer, and knowledgeable advisor. He was a “one of a kind” man who will be remembered by many and will be cherished by his loved ones.
