Irene Bernal Ramos

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00p.m., Wednesday, January 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8:00p.m., Tuesday, January 16, with a Rosary at 6:00p.m., at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.

Irene was born in Donie, Texas to Bernardo and Henrietta (Sanchez) Bernal. Irene was a homemaker most of her life and a sweet lady who was always willing to help others in need. She was a very loving mother and grandmother who always looked out for her family

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Calistro Vela Ramos; daughter, Janie Friberg; one brother and one sister.

Survivors include her children, Pat Ramos, Freddie Ramos and wife Mary Alice Ramos, Rody Galindo, Lisa Gonzalez and husband, Ivan, Sonya Lozano and husband Mike, Priscilla Nino and husband, Santiago and Becky Chapman Smith, who Irene raised as her own; three sisters; one brother, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank The Brazos Nursing Home in Waco for their love and care of their mother.

The pallbearers will be Oscar Locke, Freddie Joe Ramos, Cidro Garcia, Michael Baisa, Nick Gomez and Chico Ramos.
