Anna Austine Travis, of Waco, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, April 12, 2014, with her family at her bedside. A graveside service for friends and family will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Darrell Price officiating. Visitation for Anna will be at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors on Wednesday, April 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
Anna was born October 23, 1933, and lived most of her life in Waco, graduating from Waco High School in 1951. Anna retired from Hillcrest Hospital in 1996 after serving 28 years.
Anna is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Thompson, Robin Pharr and her husband, Robert, and Janice Travis, all of Waco; a son, Tommy Travis of Dallas; four grandchildren, Tisha Kiser and Melissa Findley and her husband, Danny of Waco, and Thomas and Matthew Travis of Dallas; and six great grandchildren, James Hudson, Jace Hudson, Seth Hudson, Alyssa Martinez, Ciara Martinez and Taylor Torres, all of Waco.
