Theresa L. Sciacca

Theresa Sciacca was born on January 1, 1931 and passed away at home surrounded by her family on August 1, 2022 at the age of 91. Theresa was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Pasquale and Mary Coppola and moved with her family to Visalia when Theresa was a teenager. Pasquale and Mary opened and operated Roma Italian Restaurant in Visalia where Theresa and her siblings worked. Theresa married the love of her life, Sam Sciacca, in 1949 and raised four sons, Fred, Steve, David, and Lenny. Theresa most enjoyed family gatherings with Uncles, Aunts, and cousins while raising her family. She enjoyed being with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially her traditional Christmas Eve gathering where our entire extended family would come. Theresa, known as Terri to her friends will be remembered for her smile, her incredible meatballs, and her never ending patience lovingly raising her four sons. She took care of them all when sick, and continued to care for her husband, Sam until his death a few short months ago. She always put everyone else first, never complaining of her own pain. Theresa was constantly asked for the recipe for those meatballs. We soon discovered the special ingredient used to unite food and our family was "love". Theresa leaves behind her four sons, Fred and his wife Sharon, Steve and his wife Gale, David and his wife Jennifer, and Lenny Sciacca. Grandchildren: Michael (Amanda), Breanne (Cameron), Brittany (Martin), Sarah, Billy, Katie (Sean), Annie, Vincent, Lindsey, and Landon; along with seven great grandchildren. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband Sam Sciacca of 72 years, her parents Pasquale and Mary Coppola, and seven siblings.
