Joseph Jefferson (Jeff) Davis III went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2015.
Born in Visalia in 1933, attended the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. Married to Sally E. (Scott) Davis of Hood River, Oregon in 1956 and moved to Visalia in 1960 after serving as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. Jeff was an employee and principle of the Davis Investment Company, which had citrus farming operations in Woodlake, Lemon Cove, Lindsey and Ivanhoe since the 1920’s. He was also an avid aviator and was known by many in Visalia for his yellow AT-6. Jeff was also active in the Elks, Rotary and many other civic organizations.
Jeff is survived by his son Tom, of Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey and three grand children. He was predeceased by his wife Sally in 2011 and his son Joseph Gregory Davis in 2001.
A memorial service will be held on TBD at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 120 North Hall Street, Visalia.
