Jasper Alvin Roper

Al Roper was born in Western Oklahoma, came to California with his family but returned to Oklahoma when WWII broke. He returned to California after WWII with his bride Jessie to stay. He worked many fields but most will remember him as “Mr. Roper, The School Bus Driver”

Al was preceded in death by his first two wives, Jessie and Mary Louise and two sons Danny and Ron. He is survived by his caring wife Anna, three sons Ed and his wife Ruth, Richard and Lou and his wife Cyndy, four grand children, five great grand children, one great great granddaughter and two step daughters, Carla and Dayna.

There will be two memorial services: One for his friends in Visalia at West Visalia Church of Christ, 2525 W. Caldwell Ave., Visalia Ca at 10:00 May 20, 2017. The second at Woodland United Fellowship, 240 N. West St., Woodland CA at 1:00 on May 21, 2017.
