September 1st, 1944 this world was made brighter with the birth of Esther Escobedo to Joe and Lupe Escobedo in Pasadena, California. Esther graduated from Pasadena City College as a LVN. She met Robert (Bob) Ortega at Chan’s Market and the rest they say is history. Bob and Esther were married on January 14th, 1967. Together they built a life in Porterville and then Visalia for their entire 56 year marriage. Esther’s calling was to be a Professional Homemaker. She lovingly raised her two children; Esther and John in a Christian home. There was no shortage of delicious meals, hand sewn garments, laughter and love. Every person who entered her home was no longer a friend, but was made to feel a part of her family. Esther entered an extended career with the birth of her three grandchildren; Sydney, James, and Shelby. Esther’s family was her everything! She was a beautiful, sweet, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother! She was a living example of Proverbs 31:10-31.
January 18th, 2023 this world dimmed with Esther’s unexpected passing. She is now sleeping awaiting her Savior’s loving call on Resurrection Morning.
Esther will be deeply missed by her husband Robert, her children: Esther & John, her grandchildren: Sydney, James, and Shelby, and her brother Joe.
