Bonnie was born in Visalia to John and Lee Etta Ikerd. She was in the graduating class of 1949 from Visalia Union High School. In 1950 she and the love of her life, Eldon Burton, married and settled down in Visalia to raise a family. She retired from Josten Yearbook after working there 35 years.
Bonnie had such a big heart and was loved by her family and friends, she was always there for everyone. After 71 years of marriage she and her loving husband are holding hands again.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Ray Ikerd,Donald Ikerd, and Richard Ikerd. Her husband Leon Eldon Burton, a son Rodney Burton, a great granddaughter Emme Veitia, and her son in law Emmett Adams.
She is survived by her daughter Debrah Gail Adams, her sister in law Peggy Bragg(JM),
5 grandchildren: Jake Burton(Tiffany), Amber Ford(Mike), Tina Setser(Craig), Stephanie Cardoza, Carrie Veitia(Kevin.
12 great grandchildren: Bella & Von Burton, Jaida Ford, William, Lacy, & Aaron Setser, Kirstin, Katelyn & Max Cardoza, Samantha, Savannah’s & Ethan Veitia.
As per Bonnie’s request there will be no funeral service.
