Thelma A Forbes

Thelma Jeannetta Albertson Forbes, 91, went home to be with our Savior on October 24, 2014 at her residence Our Lady of Perpetual Help Assisted Living Facility in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born October 24, 1923 to Tom Albertson and Emma Sherlock Albertson in North Carolina. She was a strong Christian lady who worshipped for forty years at Rock Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Forbes.

She is survived by her daughter Stella McClellan and husband Gerald, of Virginia Beach, VA; two granddaughters Jeanne Starling and husband Willie, Teresa Shirley and husband Mickey all of Virginia Beach, VA; three great grandchildren, Jennifer Russell and husband Josh of Moyock, NC; Ashley Starling of Virginia Beach, VA; and Josh Shirley and wife Tasha of Norfolk, VA; two great grandchildren, Keira and Seth Russell of Moyock, NC. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Edwards of Virginia Beach, VA.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Smith &Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 1:00 p.m. at Rock Church. Interment will be private.
