Richard Jay Rudibaugh, of Virginia Beach, passed away July 2, 2023. He was born to the late, Benjamin & Gladys Rudibaugh in Lima, Ohio.
Richard was a Veteran of WWII and went on to retire from the United States Navy. He was a Past Master of South Norfolk Masonic Lodge #339, Past District Deputy Grand Master of the 36th Masonic District, Chaplain of South Norfolk #339 for many years, a Khedive Shriner and member of the Khedive Autos. Richard was also a member of Southside Christian Church.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Jackie Rudibaugh, second wife, LaVerne Castello Rudibaugh; and sisters, Hilda Phillips & Gloria Rudibaugh.
He is survived by several nieces & nephews in Ohio. He enjoyed a special relationship with his step-daughters, Charlyne (Doug) Madden & Ann (David) Moore.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 14 at 2:00pm at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, Va 23462.
