Linda Fay Russell

Linda Fay Russell, 80, passed away peacefully, reuniting with her husband in Heaven, on September 23, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She was diagnosed with cancer two weeks ago; she was strong, brave, and put up a good fight, but sadly she lost. She will be dearly missed by loved ones and friends. Linda proudly served her country as a devoted military wife. She was passionate for city and neighborhood events and improvements. She valued her family above all. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Robert Clifford Russell, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert "Rusty" C. Russell, III and Christina Leaver; 2 grandchildren, Steven Cody Dill (Amanda Riley) and Madison Leaver (Dakota Searcy); great grandbaby on the way, Daniel Thomas Searcy; and Kaylee Riley who she considered as a great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm, on Friday, September 27, 2034, at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
