Chesapeake - George W. Rollins, 90, of the 1500 block of Wingfield Ave., peacefully passed away in his sleep Feb. 15, 2016 Born in Damascus, VA, he was the son of the late George D. Rollins and Mabel Martin Rollins. He was the widower of Nevalene H. Rollins and was also predeceased by three brothers. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a sail maker at Hogshire Tent and Awning for 39 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Henson, two sons Gerald W. Rollins and George M. Rollins (Dianne). Six grandchildren George M. Rollins Jr. (Donna), Amy M. Jernigan (Wade), Angela R. Henson, Jason M. Rollins (Kelly), Katherine M. Rollins and Paul L. Henson Jr.;and eleven great-grandchildren, Amanda Collins, Wade Jernigan III, Brittany Jernigan, Jordan Jernigan, Hannah Rollins, Allison Henson, Jamas Estes Jr., Savannah Jernigan, Caiden Henson, Hailey Rollins, and Connor Rollins.
