Donald W. Alcorn, 85, passed away on January 19, 2021. Donald was born in Louisville Kentucky to the late William and Virginia Alcorn on March 20, 1935. He went to Manual High School in Louisville. He married Joyce Silcott on January 7, 1956 at Epworth United Methodist Church where they met 66 years ago. He graduated for Old Dominion University in Mechanical Engineering. Don worked in his own engineering and contracting business for most of his professional career. He was a veteran of the Korean War in the Navy.
Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, sons David & Charles Alcorn, and grandchildren Cara, Tyler, Robert, Lauren, and Jennifer.
A Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 10 am at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach VA. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
