Dennis is predeceased by his wife, Ellen; parents, Matthew Joseph and Belma Dorothy Bielinski; and daughter, Caity Carlson. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Matthew Dennis Bielinski, Andrew John Bielinski and wife Dottie, Dennis Nicholson and wife Alexandra; daughter, Amy Jean Valdez and husband Victor; grandchildren, Rebecca Ellen Nicholson, Lauren Bielinski, Ethan Valdez, Megan Zimmerman and Victor A. Valdez. Dennis and Ellen became foster parents in 1975 caring for over 150 children during their marriage.
Dennis was born in 1941 in Medina, New York. He proudly served in the US Navy achieving the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. After his long naval career, he went on to work for Visicom and Titan. His love of motorcycles got Dennis involved with the Harley Owners Group (HOG). He was also an avid artist and craftsman creating many beautiful pieces his family will continue to treasure.
There will be a visitation to celebrate Dennis’s life on November 16, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home at 601 N. Witchduck Rd. in Virginia Beach. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters.
