Carolyn Faye Wicker

Mrs. Wicker was a Norfolk native and resided in Chesapeake most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Myrtle McCoy and her husband Ray D. Wicker, Sr. She and her husband were the former owners of Wicker's Crab and Seafood Restaurant.

Survivors include her daughter Renee O'Connor and her husband Billy, her son Ray D. Wicker Jr. and wife Michelle; seven grandchildren Lauren O'Donnell (Steve), Kristen Davis (Jordan), Brittney Hart (Tom), Kimmy O'Connor (Eric), Chelsea Leona, Tamara Wicker, Hailey Wicker Dennison (Hunter), eight great grandchildren and two sisters Dolores Jones and Gloria Parlette (Jim) and a brother Edward "Tinky" McCoy along with nieces, nephews and extended family.

Carolyn will be remembered for her passion for music, dancing and her flair for fashion. She enjoyed being a grandmother and great grandmother and was known affectionately as "Nanny" by her family, and those who loved her in the community.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home where a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 24, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
